Cycle Schenectady

Hello, people of Schenectady! We’d like to introduce ourselves: We are Cycle Schenectady, a newly formed advocacy group dedicated to making Schenectady safer for bicyclists.
Our goal is to connect fellow cyclists, advocate for more bike lanes and trails, and educate residents about safer cycling. In short, we want to get more people on bikes.

Over the last few months, we have been meeting, planning, and looking ahead to all the activities, programs, and other benefits a group like Cycle Schenectady can bring to our city and the greater Capital Region. We hoped to begin holding events this year, but because of the coronavirus pandemic, all events and meetings are currently on hold.

Despite that, we are excited to now start using Facebook and Instagram to share resources and build a community of cyclists. Whether you are a seasoned bicyclist, own a bike you haven’t ridden in years, or just hopped on a bike for the first time – there’s a place for you at Cycle Schenectady.

If you have ideas or want to learn how to get involved, shoot us a direct message; we’d love to hear from you! In the meantime, stay safe and healthy!
