Canal Clean Sweep 

Join us every April as we participate in the statewide cleanup along the Erie Canalway Trail.  We pick up litter along the Schenectady County section of the Empire State Trail. Bring gloves if you have them and wear sturdy shoes! 

Summer rides

Join Cycle Schenectady on Mondays in June, July and August for our summer ride series. These slow-paced rides will start at 6 p.m. and will have a variety of destinations. There may be ice cream. Check the calendar for details.

Bike rodeos

Cycle Schenectady periodically hosts bike rodeos to teach kids bike safety and bike handling skills. These rodeos have helmet fitting and bike tune-up stations as well as games and activities covering bike and road safety, and skills activities like slow racing, dodging objects, and sudden stops.

Holiday parade

What’s better than watching a parade? Riding your bike in one! Each November, Cycle Schenectady members lead a group of cyclists in the Schenectady Holiday Parade. It’s a very slow-paced ride, and often quite cold, but safe for riders of all ages.
